How do I choose the right filter?

Choosing the right system depends on your specific needs. Our 'Good' product is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a simple, cost-effective way to improve the taste and quality of their drinking water by removing common contaminants such as bacteria, chlorine, lead, microplastics, PFAS, and sediment amongst others. If you are looking for the absolute purest water possible, free from a wider range of contaminants including heavy metals, and hormones, our 'Best' Reverse Osmosis system is the ideal choice. We are happy to discuss your specific concerns to help you decide.

How do your filters work?

Our 'Good' system uses an advanced 3M carbon block filter that acts like a sponge, attracting and trapping contaminants as water passes through. It's highly effective at removing bad tastes and odors, leaving you with clean, crisp water. Our 'Best' system is more comprehensive. It uses a 6-stage process that first filters out larger particles, then pushes the water through a semi-permeable membrane (Reverse Osmosis) to remove even the smallest contaminants. Finally, it passes through a series of polishing filters to ensure perfect taste and the highest level of purety.

Do you offer maintenance for filtered tap systems from other brands?

Yes, we do. While we believe our products are the best on the market, we understand many Cheltenham homes already have a filtered tap. We provide maintenance and servicing for various systems, including popular brands like Quooker, to ensure they are always working efficiently.

What if I already have a tap I want to use, and just want your filter installed?

While our primary service includes both the tap and filter system, we are able to accommodate requests for filter-only installations on a case-by-case basis. Our professional team can assess your existing setup to determine if our filters are compatible, and can then install and maintain them for you.

Why is an undersink filter system better than an on-tap filter?

Undersink filter systems are a superior choice due to their longer filter lifespan, superior filtration quality, and convenience. Unlike on-tap filters that often need replacing every 4-6 weeks, undersink filters can last for up to a year, providing more effective removal of contaminants like lead and microplastics. Additionally, they offer a clean, clutter-free look by being hidden under the sink, delivering a continuous flow of high-quality filtered water without taking up counter space.

Pricing & installation

Is the installation cost included in the price, and will I need a professional to install the system?

Yes, installation is included in the price of both our 'Good' (£279) and 'Best' (£799) systems. Our professional team handles the entire process, ensuring a seamless and clean installation.

How do I pay for the filter changes?

We put you in our system from the moment of installation and pre-book your filter change for you. Payment can be made at the time of service.

Are the filtered taps a separate tap, or do they replace my existing kitchen tap?

Our systems use a separate, dedicated filtered water tap that is installed next to your existing kitchen tap. This provides you with an independent supply of pure drinking water without affecting the use of your main kitchen tap and any extra unnecessary use of the filter.

Installation & Technical Details

How long does the installation take?

A standard installation by our professional installation team typically takes less than an hour. *However this is subject to installation circumstances such as the type of countertop material.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the installation?

We just ask that you ensure the space under your sink is clear and easily accessible for our technician. We'll handle everything else, including cutting a hole in your countertop if needed (we'll consult with you on the best location first).

Will the filtered tap affect my regular water pressure?

No, not at all. Our filtered taps are completely separate from your main kitchen tap's plumbing. They will not have any impact on the pressure or flow of your existing hot and cold water taps.

What is the lifespan of the filters?

Our 'Good' filter has a filtration capacity of up to 4000 litres (the equivalent of 16,000 glasses of drinking water or 8,000 bottle fills), which for a standard family of four typically lasts around 6 months. Our 'Best' system's annual filter has a capacity of 10,000 litres, while the RO Membrane is designed to last for up to 2 years before needing a change.

Filter Service & Scheduling

How often do the filters need to be changed?

The 'Good' filter requires changing every 6 months, while the 'Best' filter requires an annual change. The RO Membrane in our 'Best' system is changed every 2 years.

How do I remember to change my filter?

That's the best part of our service! We proactively manage this for you. We keep track of your filter's lifespan and will contact you directly to pre-book a convenient date for one of our technicians to come and replace it. You never have to worry about running on an old, inefficient filter.

Health & Environmental Benefits

What are the health benefits of filtered water?

Drinking filtered water can have significant health benefits. Our filters remove impurities like chlorine, which can affect the taste and smell of your water, and heavy metals like lead amongst other contaminants. Our 'Best' system goes further, removing microscopic contaminants and smaller sized chemicals such as hormoes, giving you peace of mind that every glass is as pure as possible.

How does a filtered tap system help the environment?

Using a filtered tap dramatically reduces your reliance on single-use plastic water bottles. By installing one of our systems, you can fill up a reusable bottle or glass directly from your tap, cutting down on plastic waste and helping to protect our planet. It's a simple, cost-effective, and powerful way to make an impact. One of our filters (lasting 6 months) saves the equivalent of 8,000 single use plastic water bottles.
